PrintUsage Pro is a system designed for one main purpose, to reduce the cost involved in running and maintaining a printing resource. Without having properly managed users and printers, these costs can easily get out of control. To help with this problem, a quota scheme can be implemented to charge users for the printing they request. Advanced features of the PrintUsage Pro quota management system allow for color/mono tone print jobs to be charged differently and even different charges for different sizes of paper. Various methods of implementing this quota scheme are supported by PrintUsage Pro: A traditional manual quota system which will deny a user from printing anything when their quota has expired or an implementation to renew quota automatically after a given length of time, allowing a user to only print so much per day/week/month or year. The extensive reports feature of PrintUsage Pro provides a different approach to charging the user for the printing they perform. These features allow the administrator to generate an invoice for a user or a department detailing how much they have printed in a month with the total cost. All of these methods help to recover the cost of paper and print toner as well as looking after the environment with hopefully less print paper in the waste paper bin.


Aimed at organizations both small and large, the Enterprise features included with this version of PrintUsage Pro provide the information security and rock solid stability necessary to ensure a seamless integration with existing systems. This version supports the capturing of every printed document that passes through the system, a useful feature should past print jobs need to be reviewed or re-sent to the printer. These document files are automatically compressed by PrintUsage Pro to reduce the amount of disk space they consume.

Product Highlights
Entirely web based management allows the network administrator to control the settings of the system from anywhere with a web browser. The print server is only supported on Windows, but will monitor the print jobs sent from any operating system. The cost of printing via different printers can be either inherited from the print server they are connected to for easy installation, or be set individually for greater flexibility. An extensive report feature that makes it simple to generate a report with just about any criteria.
